A Room Boost pushes a Room into a Boosted spot in the Directory for a short time so more players see it. Each boost lasts 5 minutes and costs either one Room Boost Token or 100 Gold. Any player can boost a room, including visitors.
How do I boost a Room?
Go to the room you want to boost.
Open the room's info panel.
Tap Boost Room and confirm whether to use a Room Boost Token or Gold.
You can buy several boosts at once, and the button shows how many are active. Buying several at the same moment doesn't make the boost last longer than 5 minutes.
Where does a boosted room appear?
Boosted rooms are placed in reserved slots in the Directory, one in every four slots, so they show up between regular listings rather than replacing them.
Where do Room Boost Tokens come from?
Room Boost Tokens are given out as rewards. If you have any, the boost screen lets you use them instead of Gold.
Why can't I boost this room?
If you see "Boosts not available for this room, try again later", one of these is usually the reason:
It's an event room. Event rooms can't be boosted.
For a World, it isn't public or has been restricted by moderation.
The room emptied or closed after you opened it. A room can only be boosted while someone is in it.
Rejoin the room and try again.
My boost disappeared
A boost ends after 5 minutes. The room info panel can stop showing a boost after you leave the room even though the room is still boosted in the Directory, so check the Directory before assuming it failed. If you were charged and the room never showed as boosted, contact Support through How do I contact support? with the room name and the time you boosted. Support can't promise a refund, but will check what happened.
