What are assets, and how do I create and publish them?

Updated today

Assets are custom 3D models, objects, scripts, or UI components that creators can upload to the Highrise Asset Catalog. Other developers can use your assets in their worlds, and you can earn Gold when they’re purchased.

To create and publish an asset:

  1. Create your asset in Unity

    • You can use Unity’s tools or external programs like Blender to design 3D models, textures, animations, or Lua scripts

  2. Upload the asset from Unity:

    • Right-click the asset in your Project window and select Export Highrise Asset

    • Name the asset, choose a category, and click Upload

  3. Configure details in the Creator Portal:

    • Add a description, tags, and a thumbnail

    • Set a price (optional) in Gold

    • Click Save

  4. Publish the asset:

    • Review your listing

    • Click Publish to submit it for review by the Highrise team

    • You’ll be notified in-app once it’s approved

Revenue & Pricing: You earn 70% of the Gold when someone buys your asset. The remaining 30% goes to platform and transaction fees. Published assets cannot be edited—contact the support team via your asset group if changes are needed.
