You can show or hide your country flag yourself in Edit Profile, but you can't pick a different country in the app. The country is set automatically when your account is created. If it's wrong, or no flag shows up at all, Support can review it and may update the country on your account.
How do I show or hide my country flag?
Open your profile and tap the more button in the top right.
Tap Edit Profile.
Under Privacy Settings, tap Country.
Turn Show My Country on to show your flag, or off to hide it.
Go back and tap Save.
When the setting is off, other players don't see your country at all.
Where does my country come from?
Highrise reads it from the device you used to create your account:
iPhone and iPad: the region set on the device at the time.
Android: the country of the mobile network the phone was connected to at the time.
After that, the country stays the same. Traveling, moving, changing your phone's region or language, swapping SIM cards, using a VPN, or reinstalling the app won't change it.
Why is there no flag on my profile?
Check these in order:
Show My Country is off. Turn it on in Edit Profile (steps above). If you were under 18 when you signed up, this setting starts turned off.
No country was recorded. Some devices don't report a country when the account is created, for example an Android tablet with no mobile network, or an account created on the Windows, Mac, or Steam version. In that case there's nothing to show, and Support can review it.
You just turned it on. Close and reopen the app, then check your profile again.
Can Support change my country?
Support can review the request and may update the country saved on your account. Contact Support from Support Center in the app menu and include:
your username
the country you want shown
a screenshot of your profile if the flag is missing
You don't need to share your password or any security codes for this, so never send them in a chat.
