After you report someone, you'll get a message in your Highrise inbox thanking you for the report. The safety team then reviews the reported content with automated tools and manual review, and takes action if it breaks the Community Guidelines.
What does the team look at?
The team looks at the message, post, profile, or Room you reported, along with the surrounding context, such as the chat around a reported message. That's why reporting the exact message or post works better than a general report about a player.
Will I find out what happened?
No. For privacy, Highrise doesn't share what action was taken on another player's account, or whether any was. If action is taken, the reported player gets a notice, not you.
How long does a review take?
It depends on how serious the report is and how much there is to review. Reports about safety risks are looked at first. Highrise doesn't publish a fixed review time.
Why wasn't action taken on my report?
Common reasons:
The content didn't break the Community Guidelines, even if it was rude or annoying.
The report didn't point to a specific message, post, or profile, so there wasn't enough context.
The same content was already reviewed.
Each report is judged on what was actually said or posted, not on how many people reported it. Asking friends to report the same player won't change the result.
Can I report the same player again?
Report new incidents as they happen, from the exact message or post. Reporting the same player many times in a row doesn't speed anything up, and you may see "You have already reported this user."
What if someone reports me falsely?
False or retaliatory reports break the Community Guidelines. A report alone doesn't decide anything: the team looks at your actual content. If you got a notice you think is wrong, see How do I appeal a ban, suspension, mute, or warning?
What can I do in the meantime?
Block the player so they can't keep contacting you. See How do I block or mute someone? For serious safety concerns, also contact Support as described in How do I report a player or content?
