Tip Scam
Watch out for fake payment messages that use the tipping system to trick you.
Some scammers will send you a message that looks like a tip confirmation or payment notice—usually copy-pasted text that says something like “You’ve received 1,000 Gold!”—but it’s not real. These messages are not generated by the Highrise system and have no actual Gold attached.
Scammers often use this to trick you into sending them items, Gold Bars, or access to something.
How to avoid it:
Tips are always instant and unmissable—you’ll see the Gold appear in your balance immediately.
If someone claims they tipped you but you see nothing, they didn’t.
Never trade or send anything based on a chat message alone.
If someone tries this, report them right away via their chat or profile.
Offline Gold Selling
Never buy or sell Gold or items outside of Highrise.
Scammers may approach you on Discord, Instagram, or in-game offering to sell or buy Gold for real money. These deals are against the rules, risky, and usually result in:
Stolen Gold or items
No delivery after payment
Permanent bans for both buyers and sellers
Highrise will never support or verify off-platform trades. Only buy Gold through the official app or website.
If you’re contacted about this, report it immediately and avoid responding. Trading Gold or items outside of the game is a bannable offense—even if you didn’t initiate the offer.
Fake Free Gold – Phishing Links
Be careful of anyone promising free Gold in exchange for your email or password.
Scammers may send you messages, post in rooms, or DM you with a link that claims you can get free Gold or exclusive items—but the link leads to a phishing site designed to steal your Highrise account. These sites often look like official Highrise pages but are fake.
They’ll ask you to log in or enter personal info. Once you do, the scammer takes control of your account.
How to stay safe:
Never enter your Highrise login on a non-official website.
Highrise will never ask for your password in messages, forms, or Discord DMs.
Always check that links are from official domains like
highrise.game
.
If you clicked one by mistake, change your password immediately and contact support.
Fake Staff Emails – “Change Your Email to Get Gold”
Don’t trust anyone who tells you to change your in-game email to receive Gold.
This scam involves users pretending to be staff or “official” Highrise accounts. They’ll claim you’ve won Gold or an item, but you need to change your email address in the app to something like [email protected]
.
Doing this hands over your account to the scammer. Once the email is changed, you may be permanently locked out.
What to know:
Highrise will never ask you to change your email in order to receive anything.
We will never contact you from a Gmail or personal email address.
Legitimate prizes or rewards are always delivered in-game or announced through official channels.
If someone makes this request, report them immediately. It’s a known takeover scam.
