The Community Guidelines are the rules for how everyone behaves on Highrise, in Rooms, Worlds, chat, voice, messages, posts, names, and trades. Highrise is for players 13 and older, so the rules are written for a space that teens and adults share.
Where can I read the full rules?
Highrise Community Guidelines: the full rules in plain language.
Community Standards: the detailed version, with examples for each rule.
Terms of Service: the legal agreement for using Highrise.
In the app, open Settings and tap Community Guidelines in the Help section.
What isn't allowed on Highrise?
The full Guidelines cover more, but these are the rules players run into most:
Harassing, bullying, threatening, or stalking other players, or using hate speech.
Sexual content or nudity, and anything that sexualizes, exploits, or targets a minor. Highrise has zero tolerance for harm to minors.
Promoting self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or graphic violence.
Scamming, impersonating another player or Highrise staff, or spamming.
Buying, selling, or trading accounts, Gold, or items for real money or outside Highrise.
Lying about your age or trying to get around age verification.
Sharing someone's personal information or private chats without permission.
Using other accounts to get around a ban, mute, or block, or using bots and exploits.
Anything illegal, including sharing content you don't have the rights to.
Disguising links to get around filters, or using coded language to hide hate speech, also breaks the rules.
Can Room and World owners add their own rules?
Yes. Owners can set extra rules for their own spaces and remove, mute, or ban players who don't follow them. Those rules sit on top of the Community Guidelines and can't replace them. See Why was I kicked, muted, or banned from a Room or World?
What happens if someone breaks the rules?
The safety team enforces the Guidelines with automated tools and manual reviews. Content that breaks the rules can be removed, and the account can get a warning, a mute, a suspension, or a permanent ban, depending on how serious the violation is and the account's history. Serious violations can lead straight to a ban. See Why is my account banned, suspended, muted, or warned?
What should I do if I see someone breaking the rules?
Report it from the app, right where it happened, and block the player if you don't want to hear from them again. See How do I report a player or content? and How do I block or mute someone?
