What are the odds in Grabs and Blind Boxes?

Where to find the published odds for every Blind Box, how guarantees, Featured items, Wishing, and No Repeats Blind Boxes change your pulls, and what the odds don't cover.

Every Blind Box (Grab) owned by Highrise publishes its odds. Open the Blind Box's info screen: Open Rates lists the chance of each item or rarity, and Guaranteed Rewards lists any guarantees. Odds differ from one Blind Box to the next, so check them before you pull.

How are the odds applied?

Each pull gives one item, chosen at random using the published rates. Those base rates are fixed: they're the same for every player, and they don't drop after a lucky pull or change with how much you spend. Guarantees, the Featured boost, Wishing, and the protections below can only add to your chances. None of them lowers the published odds. The Blind Box screen and its info screen show which guarantees and features each Blind Box has.

How do rarity guarantees work?

Some Blind Boxes guarantee an item of a set rarity, for example Epic or higher, within a set number of pulls. The info screen shows the rarity and the number.

  • Counters are tracked per Blind Box and per rarity.

  • A counter resets when you get an item of that rarity, or when its guarantee triggers. Getting a Mythical item resets all of them.

  • If two guarantees land on the same pull, you get the higher rarity.

  • A Legendary guarantee gives you a Legendary you haven't collected from that Blind Box yet, if one is left. On Blind Boxes without a Featured guarantee, pulling a Legendary you already own doesn't reset the Legendary counter until you own them all.

  • Progress, Limited-Time, and Completion rewards aren't given by guarantees and don't affect the counters.

How does the Featured item guarantee work?

Some Blind Boxes mark certain items as Featured and guarantee one within a set number of pulls. The Blind Box screen shows how many pulls are left until it lands.

On these Blind Boxes, your chance of a Featured item also climbs over the last stretch before the guarantee. With the standard settings, the boost starts at pull 75 and the guarantee lands by pull 90; the guarantee number for each Blind Box is on its screen. The boost is added on top of the published rate, so it only works in your favor.

The counter resets when you get any Featured item, including a duplicate. If you've made a Wish, the Wish rules below decide which Featured item you get. Either way, it can be an item you already own.

How does Wishing work?

On Blind Boxes with Wishing, tap Wish, pick one Featured item, and tap Confirm Wish. When you pull a Featured item, there's a 50% chance it becomes your wished item. If it doesn't, your next Featured item is guaranteed to be your wish. Your wished item can be one you already own. Your wish clears once you get it.

What is a No Repeats Blind Box?

Every pull gives an item you don't own yet from that Blind Box. The odds shown are starting rates: as you collect items, your chance at each remaining one goes up. When you've collected everything, the Blind Box starts over. Multi-pulls are capped at the number of items you have left. These Blind Boxes don't have guarantees or Wishing.

What happens once I own all the Featured items?

On Blind Boxes with Featured items, once you own all of them, a duplicate below the Featured rarity is swapped for an item of the same rarity you don't own yet, when one is left.

What are Secret items?

Some Blind Boxes include a Secret item. It shows as ??? in Open Rates, with its chance listed, until you get one. Secret items only come from regular pulls (or, on some Blind Boxes, a Stamp Card reward), never from a guarantee or a Wish, and they don't count toward completing the set.

What about player-run Grabs?

Second-hand Grabs placed by players use odds set by their owner, shown on the Grab.

I pulled a lot and didn't get the item I wanted

Pulls are random, so long dry streaks happen. Support can't change a pull's result or compensate for luck. If you think a guarantee didn't trigger when the info screen said it should, contact Support with the Blind Box name, your pull count, and screenshots of the info screen and your results.
