A Blind Box, also called a Grab, is a themed collection of items you pull from at random. Each pull gives you one item from that Blind Box's list. You'll find them in the shop, and event Blind Boxes also appear in the event.
How do I open a Blind Box?
Open the shop and tap a Blind Box.
Check the rewards and the info screen. Open Rates lists the odds, Guaranteed Rewards lists any guarantees, and event Blind Boxes also show Event Boost per rarity.
Pull once, or several at a time on Blind Boxes that offer it.
Reveal your items. Higher rarities get a special reveal.
Items come in rarities from Common up through Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythical. Every Blind Box publishes its odds; see What are the odds in Grabs and Blind Boxes?
What can I pay with?
Most Blind Boxes cost Gold, and some cost Bubbles. Depending on the Blind Box, you may also be able to use:
Spin Tokens, which spin select Grabs for free.
Promo Grab Tokens, which only work on Blind Boxes priced in Gold. Items you get this way are Account Bound.
Event or collection currencies, such as Lucky Tokens or a Pal collection's own currency.
Some Blind Boxes only accept Gold, and some are opened only by watching a short video ad, up to a limit.
I got a Blind Box as a reward. Where is it?
Blind Boxes from events, Crew tracks, gifts, and offers are items. Tap Open Now, or Save to My Items and open it later. Each one gives one pull of a specific Blind Box, and the items it gives are Account Bound. See also How do I get free Blind Boxes?
Do Blind Boxes expire?
Most do. A Blind Box runs for a limited time, shown on its screen. Unopened Blind Box items expire with it and are removed from your inventory. Your Inbox Activity warns you when one has less than 7 days left.
What are progress and completion rewards?
Many Blind Boxes give bonus rewards as you collect unique items, plus a reward for completing the set. Duplicates don't count, and neither do copies you got outside that Blind Box. Reveal your new items so they count toward progress. Some completion rewards are limited time. Some Blind Boxes let you start the set again after you complete it; items you've won are kept.
My app closed while I was opening a Blind Box. Did I lose it?
No. The result of an open is decided and added to your account by Highrise's servers before the reveal animation plays, so closing the app, losing signal, or a dead battery doesn't cancel it. Reopen Highrise and check My Items. Every open also shows in your Transaction History.
What can I do with duplicates?
Recycle them. On Blind Boxes with a Stamp Card, eligible duplicates turn into Stamps automatically. A few Blind Boxes instead offer a Swap for duplicates right after you open them.
