How do I get and manage Pals?

Pals are pets that follow your avatar. You get them from Pal Blind Boxes (often as an egg or box you open), from other players on the Marketplace or in trades, and from some events. Collections like Snugglins, Flutterkin, and Purrlings each have their own Pals and accessories.

Some Pals, such as Boo Buds, are Account Bound and can't be traded.

Open the egg from your inventory or the reward screen and tap Hatch. Hatching reveals your Pal and can't be undone. You'll then name your Pal.

Each Pal gets one free rename. After that, use a Nametag (Use Nametag) to change its name.

Open Edit Avatar, go to Pals, and pick the Pal you want. The Pals section only appears once you own at least one Pal.

Accessories go on a Pal, not on your avatar, and they only fit Pals from the matching collection. Use Edit Pal Look to add them. Adding an accessory binds it to that Pal's inventory for good: it can't be removed or moved to another Pal, except when Snugglins are merged. The app shows a Binding Confirmation first, so check you've picked the right Pal. Bound accessories stay in the Pal Inventory, where you can still wear them or take them off on that Pal. If you recycle a Pal, everything bound to it is lost. Parts and accessories on their own don't make a Pal: you need the Pal first.

Many do. Recycling accessories from a Pal Blind Box often gives that collection's currency, such as Fluff for Snugglins or Whisker Coins for Purrlings. Some collections also have a World where you can play with your Pals. For Snugglins, see Snugglins: eggs, Fluff, and merging.

If an accessory floats, clips, or makes your Pal disappear, close and reopen Highrise, then report it as a bug with the Pal, the accessory name, and a screenshot.

Check for an unopened egg or box in your inventory, and whether the Pal is listed on the Marketplace or in a trade. Then see An item is missing from my inventory.
