Tipping sends Gold to another player, or into a Room's Tip Jar for the Room owner. Tips come in fixed amounts that match the Gold Bar sizes, they arrive instantly, and they can't be refunded.
How do I tip a player?
Tap the player's avatar in a Room.
Choose Tip.
Pick an amount. Tips use Gold Bar sizes, so you choose a bar rather than typing a number.
Add an optional message, then choose Send Tip.
You pay the Gold Bar's price and the player receives its Gold value. Those two numbers differ: see Gold Bars. You can tip with Gold or a Gold Bar you already own, but not with Bubbles.
Can I add a message or tip anonymously?
You can add a private message with your tip. In Tip Jars, you need to tip at least 100 Gold to leave a message, and tips over 5,000 Gold show your message to everyone in the Room. Direct tips to a player can be sent anonymously; Tip Jar tips can't.
How do Tip Jars work?
A Tip Jar is a piece of furniture in a Room. Anyone in the Room can tip it, and the Gold goes to the Room owner. The owner collects it by visiting that Room. If the owner removes the Tip Jar, any Gold left inside is sent to them.
Can I get a tip back?
No. Tips are voluntary and final, and nothing is owed in return. Never tip someone because they promised you an item, Gold, or a favor later. If that happens, report them; see Common scams.
I received a tip but don't see the Gold
Close Highrise fully and reopen it. Tip Jar owners need to visit the Room to collect. If it's still missing, contact Support with both usernames, the Room, and the time of the tip.
