This document explains how Highrise collects, uses, shares, retains, and deletes your Biometric Data when you use our services.
Definition of Biometric Data
"Biometric Data" refers to data derived from measurements of your biological traits, such as face geometry or fingerprints. It also includes Biometric Information—data based on these traits that can be used to identify you.
By using Highrise's identity verification process, you consent to the collection, use, sharing, and retention of your Biometric Data as described in this policy.
What Type of Biometric Data Do We Process?
Face geometry
How Do We Process It?
We work with a service provider, Persona, to assist with our identity and age verification process. Persona assesses your age based on your facial features and verifies your identity by comparing the geometry of your face in both your selfie and identification document. This process helps securely confirm your age and identity while preventing fraud.
Only a very limited number of Highrise personnel may access your ID photo and selfie, and only for compliance purposes.
How Long Do We Retain Your Biometric Data?
Highrise does not receive or store your Biometric Data. Persona will delete it within three years of collection unless legally required to retain it longer (e.g., due to a warrant or subpoena).
What Happens to Your Biometric Data After the Retention Period?
At the end of the retention period, Persona will permanently erase your Biometric Data so that it cannot be recovered or reconstructed.
