My app says "Account is locked, please contact support." What do I do?

What a locked account means, why Highrise locks accounts, and how to contact Support to get it reviewed.

That message means Highrise has locked the account, usually to protect it after signs that someone else got in, or while a security or recovery review is open. In the app, a locked account shows Account Secured with "We detected unusual activity on this account and temporarily restricted access." You can't unlock it yourself, so contact Support and a person will review it.

What happens while my account is locked?

  • Nobody can log in to it, including you.

  • Every active session on the account was signed out when it was locked.

  • It doesn't appear in the list of accounts on your device.

Your items and Gold stay on the account while it's locked. If the account has an email address, Highrise also sends a notice to it when the account is locked.

How do I contact Support about a locked account?

  1. Tap Contact Support on the Account Secured screen. If you already closed it, log in to another Highrise account you own on the same device (or create one), then open Settings, then Support Center.

  2. Say that your account is locked.

  3. Give the exact username of the locked account and the login method you used on it.

Write from the device you normally play on. Support never asks for your password, PIN, or a login code.

What will Support ask?

Support asks questions that only the account owner can answer, and may ask for purchase receipts if the account has bought anything. Answer as completely as you can in one reply. A person decides every case, and Support can't promise the account will be unlocked.

What happens when it's unlocked?

Support tells you how to log back in. You may need to set a new password and check the email on the account. Turn on Safety Lock afterward: see What is Safety Lock and how do I use it?

Is a locked account the same as a ban?

No. If the message says the account is suspended until a date, that's a moderation action: see How do I appeal a ban, mute, or warning? If it says the account is deactivated, see Can I restore a deleted account? If it asks you to verify your age, see Why is my account locked or restricted until I verify my age? "Too many attempts, try again later." is a short wait, not a lock.
