Why does Highrise say I need to register my account?

What an unregistered account is, why Highrise asks you to register, and how to add a login so you don't lose the account.

You can start playing Highrise before adding a login. Until you register, the account has no email and password and no connected login, so it only lives on the device where you made it. Registering adds a way to log back in from anywhere.

Why do I see "Registration Required"?

Some parts of Highrise need a registered account, including Account Management and Connected Accounts in Settings. When you open one of them on an unregistered account, Highrise shows "You need to complete registration in order to use this feature." Your profile also shows Secure your account! until you register.

How do I register?

  1. Tap Complete registration on the prompt, or use the Secure your account! prompt on your profile.

  2. Choose how you want to log in:

    • an email address and a password (at least 6 characters, case sensitive), or

    • a connected login: Apple, Google, Facebook, Snapchat, or a US phone number, where your device supports it.

  3. Finish the steps on screen.

Use an email address you can open. Highrise sends password reset links and Safety Lock reset links to that address.

What changes after I register?

You can log in on another device, reset your password by email, set up Safety Lock once an email is on the account, and connect more login methods. Your avatar, items, and Gold stay the same.

What if I sign out or lose my phone before registering?

An unregistered account is tied to the device it was created on. Highrise won't let you sign out of it until you register, but if you delete the app or lose the device, you may not be able to log back in. Register now to avoid that.

Can Support get back an unregistered account?

You can ask, but Support can't promise it. Follow I can't get into my account. How do I recover it? and contact Support from another account on the same device.
