Pre-ordering is how you back an Idea. Your Gold is taken as soon as you confirm, and the pre-order can't be canceled. If the Idea misses its funding goal or Highrise removes it, your Gold is refunded automatically. If it's made, you get the item on launch day.
How do I pre-order an Idea?
Open the Idea on https://highrise.game/highrise-ideas and sign in.
Select Pre-order.
Choose a quantity. You can order up to 10 at a time. To get more, finish the order and pre-order again. There's no limit on your total.
Select Confirm.
You can pre-order your own Idea. To see everything you've backed, open Pre-orders on the Ideas site.
How much does a pre-order cost?
During the 30-day Funding window, pre-orders are 25% off: 6,000 Gold for most items and 9,000 Gold for hair. After an Idea is funded, it costs the full price of 8,000 Gold, or 12,000 Gold for hair, even if you backed it earlier. If an Idea's page shows Pre-orders closed, it can't be ordered anymore.
Can I cancel a pre-order?
No. Pre-orders are final. Your Gold comes back only if the Idea doesn't reach its goal or Highrise removes it. Refunds arrive automatically in your inbox as a gift titled with the Idea's name and "Pre-order Refund".
Can I pay with Earned Gold?
Yes. Highrise spends your regular Gold first and only uses Earned Gold when your regular Gold runs out. The designer's share is the same either way. If you're saving Earned Gold to cash out, check your balance first. See What is Earned Gold and how do I cash it out?
When and where do I get my item?
On launch day, when the finished item goes on sale in the Highrise store. It arrives in the Gifts tab of your inbox as a gift titled with the Idea's name and "Pre-order Rewards". Gifts go out in batches, so it can take an hour or two to reach everyone. The item can't be traded or gifted during its first 7 days on sale.
Why does the finished item look different from the Idea picture?
The art team may adjust a design to fit the Highrise style and technical limits, such as how hair layers with other items. The designer reviews previews before release. For questions about refunds, see the Highrise Refund Policy.
