Your username is your unique Highrise handle: nobody else can have it, and changing it costs Gold after the first time. Your display name is the friendlier name shown on your profile and in chats. It doesn't have to be unique, and you can change it for free whenever you like.
How do I change my display name?
Open your profile and tap the more button in the top right.
Tap Edit Profile.
Edit the Name field at the top.
Tap Save.
There's no cost and no limit on how often you change it.
What are the display name rules?
A display name can:
be 1 to 30 characters long
use letters, numbers, spaces, underscores (_) and periods (.)
It can't contain other symbols or emoji, two periods in a row, or words that break the Community Guidelines. If the app says Contains words that are not allowed. or Contains characters that are not allowed., edit the name and try again.
When should I use my username instead?
Use your username when you:
sign in with a username and password
contact Support, so they can find your account
tell a friend exactly which account is yours, since several players can share the same display name
Players can search for you by either name.
