I think my account was hacked. What should I do?

Secure your account if someone else got in, and report it to Support if you've lost access.

If you can still log in, change your password right away: that ends every active session on the account, so anyone else using it gets signed out. If you can't log in, contact Support from another account on the same device and say your account was hacked. A person reviews every case, and Support can't promise to restore access or items.

How can I tell if my account was hacked?

  • You got an email about a login from a new device, or about your email changing, and it wasn't you.

  • Your password, email, or username changed without you.

  • Items or Gold left your account through trades, gifts, or tips you didn't make.

  • Your normal login suddenly stops working.

If someone tricked you into a trade but you still control your account, that's a scam, not a hack. Report the player instead: see How do I report another player?

I can still log in. What should I do now?

  1. Change your password in Settings, then Account Management, then Password. This signs out every session on the account, so log back in with the new password if asked.

  2. Check the email in Account Management and change it back if it's wrong.

  3. Open Settings, then Connected Accounts, and disconnect anything that isn't yours.

  4. If you use Discord verification, check https://highrise.game/account/settings for a Discord link you don't recognize.

  5. Change the password on your email account too, since the reset links go there.

I can't log in. How do I report it?

  1. On the same device, log in to another Highrise account you own, or create a new one.

  2. Open Settings, then Support Center, and say your account was hacked.

  3. Give the exact username, roughly when you lost access, and what changed.

Don't share personal details from inside the hacked account's messages: the person using it could read them.

What will Support do?

Support may lock the account to stop more changes while it checks ownership. You'll be asked questions only the real owner can answer. See My account is locked.

Will I get my items or Gold back?

Support can't promise to return items or Gold moved while someone else had access. See the Highrise Refund Policy.

How do I stop it from happening again?

Use a password you don't use anywhere else, keep Safety Lock on, and never enter your Highrise login on a site that promises free Gold or items. Support never asks for your password, PIN, or codes, and Highrise staff never ask you to change your email or password or to turn off Safety Lock.
